Independent Open Studios
Description
Independent Open Studio is available to all who have had some online or in-person workshops or experience as well as beginners, as long are you have the basic knowledge to create your own project. This is a self-paced, self-motivated, independent open studio time. We at FusedGlassWarehouse are happy to provide some general assistance but this is not a teacher lead class. Students design and complete their own projects. Advanced appointments for Independent Open Studios are required.
Have you taken a glass class but don’t have a studio or kiln at home? Need space to work on that new project? Are you only in this area for part of the year but still want to play with glass? Working through a new E-Book but need a bit of advice? Or do you just want to work around other creative people in a more communal space? Independent Open Studios helps to promote creativity and comradery.
Independent Open Studio hours:
Wednesday – 11am – 9pm
Independent Open Studio rates are $8/per hour, with a 2 hour minimum during any of the time list above and includes the use of basic hand tools, workspace, stencils, glass grinder, hand sanding pads, basic supplies such as Glastac, glass cleaner, and towels. Students must bring or purchase their own glass and we only allow Bullseye Glass at the studio. Other small or individual items such as, vitrigraph, stringers, dots, frit and scrap may be purchased by weight during Independent Open Studios. Kiln firings for projects are fee based but you receive one free kiln firing (up to 12” kiln space) after every 8 hours of paid Independent Open Studios.

Independent Vitrigraph sessions are also available, contact FusedGlassWarehouse for rates and requirements. Other tools, such as cold working equipment may be available and are fee based.
