Flower Suncatcher

MAY’S MAKE AND BAKE

This beautiful hanging floral suncatcher will look great in your window.

Using fusible glass and glass stringers you will create a floral suncatcher any garden lover would love – although your design will vary.

This is really an easy and fun introduction to glass fusing.  No Glass Experience required.

Estimate time 1 hour

This will be completed in the studio but will need to be fired in the kiln and will NOT go home with you the same day.  The finished project will be available to pick up the following week.  We will be adding jump hooks, but you will finish off your hanger at home with ribbon, cord or decorative beading.

Classes and workshops are for those who are 18 years of age or older, except where noted, or by special permission and when accompanied by an enrolled adult.

All classes are private and will be at FusedGlassWarehouse, unless otherwise indicated.  Our teaching space is on the second floor and does require participants to be able to climb a flight of stairs.  If you cannot climb stairs, please let us know and we will make arrangements to schedule a separate class on the lower level to accommodate you.

Preparing for Class

Class participants should arrive a few minutes before class to get settled so we can start promptly.

FusedGlassWarehouse will provide eye protection, but students can bring their own personal protection equipment if they have it.  Safety glass must be worn in the classroom while working.

Class participants must wear closed toe and closed heel shoes at all times.  No flip flops, sandals or slip-on shoes (without backs) allowed.

If any other required clothing, tools, gear, etc., are required you will be notified by email of those requirements.

We do recommend students wear long pants, socks and natural fiber clothing.

Eating and drinking is not allowed in the classroom space.  If the class is a full day and we stop for breaks, you will be given a location to eat in.
